Arsenal vs West Ham
English Premier League
Date: Saturday, 19 September 2020
Kick-off at 20:00 UK/ 21:00 CET
Venue: Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal welcome West Ham to the Emirates Stadium on Saturday for what will be a second London derby of the Premier League season for the Gunners.
Mikel Arteta’s men kicked off their campaign in impressive fashion with a 3-0 win at Fulham last weekend and the north Londoners are well fancied to record another victory against their rivals from the east of the capital.
The Hammers were beaten 2-0 at home by Newcastle last Saturday and although they recorded a midweek victory in the Carabao Cup, there are already questions being asked of David Moyes.
Arsenal vs West Ham: Head-to-head (h2h)
- Mikel Arteta’s men recorded wins in five of the former six clashes.
- They had recorded 20 of the former 22 overall wins.
- At this stadium, the hosts recorded wins in ten of the preceding eleven encounters.
- The guests are winless at this venue in the past five years, and they have won just once since 2007.
Arsenal vs West Ham: Prediction
Contrasting starts for both of these teams as Arsenal were highly impressive in their 0-3 win at Fulham while West Ham were largely disappointing in the home loss to Newcastle. Mikel Arteta’s men are full of confidence especially with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract extension so they will be looking for another win here. David Moyes’ West Ham are on the look out for reinforcements and that will only have intensified after their opening display. Their woes may be compounded here as it is difficult to see them getting anything from this Arsenal side who already look revolutionised under Arteta.
